Delivery Policy
OVERVIEW
At Sommy Obasi ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to delivering your orders safely, efficiently, and within the estimated delivery timelines. This Delivery Policy explains how we process, ship, and deliver orders, including estimated delivery times, shipping fees, risk of loss, and other important information relating to the delivery of our products.
By placing an order through our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Delivery Policy.
1. Order Processing
Orders are processed after payment has been successfully confirmed.
Ready-to-Wear Orders: Processed within 1–3 business days.
Made-to-Order Requests: Production begins once payment has been confirmed. Production timelines vary depending on the design and will be communicated at the time of purchase.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
2. Made-to-Order Requests
Sommy Obasi primarily offers ready-to-wear collections. However, we may accept made-to-order requests for selected designs on a case-by-case basis.
Where a made-to-order request is accepted:
The estimated production timeline will be communicated and agreed upon before your order is confirmed.
Production will begin only after payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery timelines commence upon completion of production.
Made-to-order items are subject to the specific production timeline communicated to the customer and may require additional time compared to ready-to-wear orders.
3. Delivery Within Nigeria
We deliver nationwide through trusted courier partners.
Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:
Lagos State: 1–3 business days
Other States in Nigeria: 3–7 business days
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier operations, weather conditions, public holidays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
4. International Delivery
We ship to selected international destinations.
Estimated delivery time is 5–15 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination country and customs clearance.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import charges required by their local authorities.
5. Shipping Fees
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and the size or weight of your order.
The applicable shipping fee will be displayed before payment is completed.
6. Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email or WhatsApp (where applicable). Tracking information will be provided when available.
7. Delivery Delays
While we make every reasonable effort to deliver orders within the estimated timelines, delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier disruptions, adverse weather conditions, customs clearance, public holidays, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
If your order experiences a significant delay, we will keep you informed and provide updates where possible.
8. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are encouraged to inspect their order upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing hello@sommyobasi.com with your order number and supporting photographs where applicable.
